“My grandfather was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease a number of years ago. He started to loose his memory and his ability to perform simple tasks. This was upsetting to watch and my family and I feared leaving him alone. We had no idea where to even begin in looking for a caregiver for my grandfather. How much care did he need? How much would it cost? Could we afford it? How could we trust a stranger going into my grandfathers home? What tasks would the caregiver help him with? We had a million questions and concerns. I found A Caring Hand Services through a Facebook group I was apart of. I reached out to the agency and within a couple of hours, Karen, the owner of the agency, reached out to me. She answered all my questions honestly and even recommended I reach out to a couple other agencies to make sure A Caring Hand was the right fit. I decided to work with A Caring Hand because it was the only agency that returned my calls quickly, allowed me to interview different aides, and submitted all insurance forms necessary for us to be reimbursed. A Caring Hand Services assigned us with a home health aide the following day to begin services. This aide worked with my grandfather for the next three years, until he passed away. She was incredible- kind, professional, and nurturing! She became apart of our family. Watching family members age and become less independent is upsetting and difficult. A Caring Hand made this time as smooth as possible for the rest of my family. They supported us through the end of my grandfather’s life and we are forever grateful. To anyone searching for home care, I highly recommend going with A Caring Hand. They really care about their clients and their clients’ family members.” – Jennifer B.
